ps2dis breaks ps2 executables down into processor instructions. the only way you're ever going to effectively use ps2dis is to learn r5900 MIPS assembly and hexadecimal. do a search on google, you'll find many resources.

www.codemasters-project.net has all of gmo's great guides along with alot more from several other people and a ton of helpful tools.
