help with ps2 diss please –

hi. learning to hack, but had some trouble with my ps2 dissembler.. i think.
first wenever i made a code my ar max rejected it, saying it is for another game. (and wen i convert anything to ar max ther is an infinately variable top line, whats with that?) anyway, i finaly found a de/encryptor that will convert my stock ar max codes back to raw, and max raw. so i traced the codes that came on my max back to the adresses on my game. now here is where im stuck. the adresses i got from my ar max are not lining up with the codes in ps2 diss. they point me to, for example, 04003c40 now this adress is very very far from the last adress of the sleus file on ps2 dis, i believe the blue background indicates the presence of game file, and white background is not used, cuz all the codes are 00000000 nop. well the slues file ends somevare in the 00300000 adresses. Ok, but this cheat DOES work on my game so im thinking the actual game adresses do line up with the cheat devise adresses, its only in ps2 diss that its all messed up.
im very new to hacking and i dont have a clue whats going on with pa2 dis, if thats even the problem.
any help at all is very much appreciated.
also i would like to know if (those of you hackers veiwing) your ps2 dis gets the adresses spot on, so all you do is type the adress from the ps2 dis and modded hex data into your encryptor.
thanx

If the address doesn't appear in the ELF file using PS2dis it'll be a EE memory address outside the range of the game ELF, 00100000-02000000 is the full 32MB memory range of the EE.

thanx. il check it out. can i open an EE file with ps2 diss?
um, so why do u think none of the codes i made were going onto the game?
they were made from adresses in the slues file.
when i converted back the codes that came on my ar max and changed the data (frose my game) the ar max accepted it. but it wont let me add codes from the sleus adresses

Yes you can open a memory dump of the EE with PS2dis, PCSX2 or Artemis can be used to make memory dumps.
What game are you making codes for and did you have a GAME ID inserted when converting the RAW codes to AR Max?

lol, all this talk about a game id on every forum. what is it and what does it do? i left the game id box blank wen i converted the codes. i didnt think it did anything.
im starting with grand theaft auto 3, austrelian revision edition. i dont even know what the game id is for this game.
most of the hacking terms people use excape me. i really am starting from scratch.

It's part of the encryption scheme Datel/Codejunkies use each game has it's own id.
