help with OPM DEMO hacking

I have a game thats on an OPM (official playstation magazine)demo that I want to hack. I have the SCUS for the game off the demo disk, and the main demo loader scus file.

Whenever I try to make a master for the demo loader, the game wont even load. I made a few masters for the actual syphon filter scus itself but they do not seem to work.

Anybody hacked a game ona demo before and have a solution? Will I have to make a multielf master code? Any help is appreciated.

I remember somebody saying you can, just not the method to do it.I've been wondering how to also, but I would rather go out and get the game itself.That would be the best thing to do.I have a demo disc with many games on it that I would like to mess with, but all my attempts on making a working (M) code have failed.If somebody ever decides to tell how, others and I would be happy for the info.However, on another site I read that demo discs need a special kind of (M) code, due to the execution of each games elf file.And that you have to catch the game at the right time, to make the code.I'm pretty sure it went something like that, I just edited what they posted, as if it was pertaining to a PS2 demo.But that was on how to hack GameCube demos.It might apply for PS2 demos.

find the memcpy of the demo loader and make it a scepadread style master code

fidn the Game you want to make codes for (syphon filter)
Find the memcpy in the scepadread and copy the whole address and data, so you'll have 00xxxxxx 0cxxxxxx
cnahge the command to 9
90xxxxxx 0c000000

you'll master code would look like
Fxxxxxxx xmemcpyx
90xxxxxx 0c000000

its the same as making a master code for a mult elf game
just dont pick any other game as you play or it will crash.

And its not that i wont buy the game but syphon filter 4 beta and two demos (opm issues 77 and 80, same demo) are loaded with labels more than any game I've seen, the scus file is over 25 megabytes. Its not even function labels only either, they label all the variables in everything. When the full game comes out and you import these (I'm assuming the final wont have labels), it will be hacked to hell.

I just wanted to get a head of the game and make some confirmed codes so i can release like 20 the day the game comes out.

Could you explain that a little more? I've got the second line fine but i'm not exaclty sure what you mean about that for the first line.

Well I tried the method I posted and it froze at the movie screen for my demo.I think I misunderstood the method GMO posted.I'll just let somebody with more knowledge of this jump in.My post with the method has been deleted.I will figure it out eventually.

(EDIT) Used the method on the wrong demo.I'll try it on an OPM one.
