isnt it possible to use a com link cable to connect to pc's COM port and then search for codes in realtime ???
i remember that i had one that i could connect my ps1 to pc's COM port and search for codes while playing. i think this cable came with datels CDXutils.
must be a way to do this with the ps2 and a com link cable and the right software.
any thoughts ???

Oh yeah old time things ! connect your own psx1 via parallel -port cable ,

its very possible, look into the SIO information on mrbrowns page. its super slow but it can be done. there are also other ways of doing it as well that are more complicated. Ps2link has a ramdump feature as well. the issue is the IOP flush in most ps2 games.

Could you elaborate more on those other methods?
Because I have searched for a sort of ProCOm solution for PS2 that could work as psx one.
