AR MAX Not working

I purchased an AR MAX (European version) for my New Zealand PS2 (SCPH-39002, would be a version 7) and when I insert the disc, it says 'Please insert PSX or PS2 Compatible Disc'

What's up with that?

It wants you to insert a PS2 disc so it can direct you to the cheats for that game. You can ignore this and select one of the buttons at the bottom if you want.

Call Datel and explain your situation if they dont send you out another disc then your SOL unless you havea mod, i would recommend getting an Xploder

Try pressing the reset button after you hear the laser latching on to the disc you'll know when the disc is loading properly because of the change in sound it's problem I have too it happens all the time where it throws up the red screen of death.

resetting the console should solve the problem. i have an ARMAX too and when i load it through the browser it gives the red screen. however when i press the reset/on-off button the disk load perfectly
