AR MAX EVO burnt, with modchip

Hey, i hae ActionReplay MAX EVO burnt, when i try to apply codes to another burnt game, say GTA: San Andres (burnt) it doesnt work, it just says insert disk.

I have a v12 ps2 with a modbo chip.

ar max evo sucks, get a code breaker. does evo even work on a v12?
