Is it true that Backup Games from original disc works on PS3 with CFW?

Is it true that Backup Games which ripped from the original Disc works on PS3 with CFW?
Or does PS3 with CFW run those backup games which EBOOT.bin is already "modified"

Yes its true, Original Games backuped to HDD, will be work fine.

I tested it with GT5, Virtual Tennis 3, and Assasins Creed 2...

u able to load GT5? you can play with it? I unable to load that game.. the rest are working well except that game.. what CFW u using... and what backup manager u using?
