PS2 ISO's on PS3 via USBAdvance, Is there any other way to run iso's ?

Hello, I bet most of you guys already know about this, I just wanted to check if anyone know a simpler way of doing this homebrew, backup manager etc?

For the ones that wants too try this, you will need a ps3 that can run ps2 games.

CECHBxx NTSC (20GB 4 usb ports)

off topic, if someone would like to explain what exactly the "Partially software-based PS2 emulation" does and why does it only exists on the earlier versions of the ps3?
and why can't this "software-based ps2 emulation" be installed on a newer model of the ps3?

There was a hardware change from the PS3's that could play PS2 games, but the current status is that $ony will not allow software emulation on the PS3 because they are still selling and profiting from the PS2. Rumor is that after they stop production of the PS2's (best selling console ever) that there will be a way to play PS2 games on all PS3's through a software update.
