LittleBigPlanet2 Help? Very weird...
LittleBigPlanet2 Help? Very weird... –

Ok so... my backup of LBP2 worked the first time I played it... I installed it to internal drive, and it played fine on both internal and external too if I remember right. Got through the tutorial and all that, then moved on to another game. But after that first time, everytime Ive tried to load the game I get a blackscreen, and an error sound, but no message. The PS3 just stops working completely, and I have to reset it.
Ive tried running it off of external again, FTPing the whole game to internal instead of ext transfer, deleting EBOOT file, FTPing the USDIR folder only to internal, and using PKG files... and when I used the PKG i get error 8001002B. Before doing any of this I deleted all data from the game that was on the PS3.
Ive gotten every other game to work, minus Forgotten Sands, but to my knowledge that game just doesnt work. So I dont understand what the problem is here. And I especially dont understand why it worked once, and hasnt worked again since.
Im running Kmeaw 3.55 CFW, using the newest Multiman (forgot the version), but also tried with Rogero Stealth to confirm it wasnt just MM. Any help would be greatly appreciated, this makes no sense to me... how it could work once, then never again no matter what I do to it.
EDIT: Ok the game runs now, apparently it just wants me to have a disc in the console to boot from, even with that in, going to [app_home/PS3_GAME] on the XMB still gives me the blackscreen and sound... which still doesnt make much sense to me, but im not gonna fight with it. Working internally and externally... but if anyone has this booted without a disc, or knows anyway to fix that, Id like to know.

As far as I know, any game that doesn't work without a disc is just not going to work. If you need the disc then you need it. If you notice in the disclaimers for these backup managers, it states that not all games are going to work without a disc. It is recommended that you insert a disc.
Hell Borderlands and White Knight Chronicles doesn't work without a disc, so I just deal with it. I know a fix will come some time.

Um. I wasnt complaining. I had a problem getting it to run, found out I just needed the disc in... and asked if anyone had it booted without one, or if there was a way to fix it. If not, I could care less. I said I wasnt gonna fight it. Its no hassle having a disc in. I was merely curious.
So. You know. Simmer.

The problem is that most people want what happened because of dark_alex in the psp scene. They want a virtual drive to mount an iso to, where the console will think its booting an original disc, not a file off a hard drive. That is probably a year away from happening.

I can't believe that u said that, what about ppl with a broken blu ray drive? like me.
i'd like LBP2 discless with updates to. but to bad that discless doesn't work with all games
like mod natino racers, AC:B, LBP, LBP2, ... i got all of them working with a PKG thou
but updates do not work then.
