    sorry for my English. external hdd 4gb max per file size due to fat32, so i plan to format my external hdd into ps3 and format it to native ps3 hdd file system so it can support any file size. then again remove hdd from ps3 to external hdd with ps3 format file system does multiman man support ?

    external hdd-->ps3 internal hdd-->format as ps3 format--->remove--->place inside -->external hdd

    This one has actually been answered before - The PS3 USB ports will not accept a non-fat32 usb storage device. Because of that, the PS3 will not initialize the drive, making it undetectable from BMs. The maximum internal capacity is 1tb with some minor caddy modifications. If your very desperate for truely massive storage, you could extend the internal sata cable to outside the ps3, and then connect it to an external 3.5" hard drive that's powered seperately, making the storage capacity of the "internal" over 1tb. I've heard of people doing that with 1.5tb and 2.0tb drives, though it's very messy.
