So I just got a external harddrive for my PS3, I have Kmew 3.55 and am using the newest Gaia manager. The issue im having is that Fat32 has a 4FB file limit, and most of my games cant be copied over, I have heard that you could use a NTFS file system for the external but Im not sure. What do I do?

    Grab an app called ps3splitter
    http://www.ps3-hacks.com/file/199

This will scan the game dir you browse to and split all the 4gig + files, plug your Fat32 external HD and move the game to your internal.

Although if the big files are pak*.psarc files then you can unpack these with PSARC and move the unpacked dir to your external HD and the big single Psarc file is no longer needed

As far as i know there is no way to run an NTFS HD from external, although i guess this will be rectified very soon

Mount your HDD to PC, create partions on it, then format these single partions.

Absolutely no need to partition it at all! Just d/l this handly little app which allows you to bypass the ridiculous 32 gig windows limit and format any drive to Fat32. I am currently running a 1TB external formatted with this, no problems at all

A similar option can be found at http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/ind...?guiformat.htm.
