External GAMES not showing on PC?

I have a 1TB external which i place y games on. It works fine except my copy of Prototype doesnt show up when i plug my external to my pc to transfer, but it still shows in multiman. Why is this?

Maybe the files are hidden? Have checked if they are hidden[When folder is open: Alt>Tools>Folder Options>View>Check "Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives"]?

didnt show up. maybe its possible the file had a 4gb+ in it? i orginally had it on internal then used comegenie to transfer to ext. maybe?

Nope, you'd still see it. Are you sure it was backed up to the external and not the internal? Also, it could be hidden, marked as system, etc. If you only use your hard drive for your PS3, open notepad and type the following in it;

attrib -r -a -h -s *.* /S /D

Save it as run.bat. Place it in the root of your external hard drive, then double click it. Anything hidden or marked improperly will be reset.

Will try when I get home. but it was on external cuz it would only show with it plugged in

It's listed as a system hidden file then. The command line I wrote above will fix that. I'll help you with it tonight when we both get off work. So how about that n64 emulator eh? Weren't we just talking about that, lol.

whats up about it? lol
i want to get into a couple like dreamcast, sega, etc.
ay does my msn sign me in and out? i use it on my phone (an app) and it seems to always do that

edit: yep that did the trick, so how can i fix it to show up now? and why did it not be4? and will leaving the .bat on my root cause problems for anything in the future?

Nope, you can leave it there. It resets all the attributes on the files so that they are modifiable without warning messages, and visable in windows, whenever it's ran of course. And yeah, your MSN signs you out all the time. I can't even get mine to sign me in though, so your doing better than me with it, lol.

lol, so will this game always be viewable now when i plug my ext into my pc? or do i have to do this everytime?

Only once. If it happens with another game you'll have to do it again though.
