esr disc patcher problem
esr disc patcher problem –
10-02-2012,01:39 PM
Hello,
I have recently tried to back-up my WWE Smackdown! Shut Your Mouth so that I don't lose it or something like that. But my problem is the patching. Here's the thing.
I patch the game and a message pops up saying it's successfully completed, then I proceed to burn it on a Verbatim x16 DVD-R disc and yet again with success. But when I put it in the PS2 the default screen shows up (the one with the browser, system config. etc). As if it hasn't been patched at all. I have both ESR and Free McBoot installed. The PS2 is a PAL, SCPH-70003.
I hope you can help me.
-Kind regards

Well, I put the disc in the console and then the FMCB screen comes on. But it loads as if there isn't a disc in at all. So it either shows the Unable to read disc message or when I go to 'Browser' a message saying 'Can't read disc' pops up. But I doubt it's because of the laser because it reads original PS2 disc just fine.

I usually try and run the game from the ESR menu, but if the game is patched properly, I suppose it pops up that menu automatically upon reading the disc. But yeah, when I run it, a black screen shows up and afterwards unable to read disc or i just wait a while and still nothing shows up.

Alrighty, after a few more tries, I ran IsoBuster on the recently patched .iso file and I found the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders, I put the disc in the PS2 without closing the top and I entered Browser. There, I close it and a DVD-Video disc icon pops up, (which, I assume, means that it's patched successfully) I run it and after a while Unable to read disc shows up or it just stays a black screen.
