I have backups on my internal and external. Sometimes for whatever reason I move a game from my internal to external and vice versa. When I start the game again in it's new destination it has me re-install the game data. So I'm wondering, is it just re-writting over the original because of the destination change or is it copying to another place? What folder/s house the game data installs?

I seem to have harddrive issues of un-accounted for space missing and I'm trying to figure it out, thanks.

Go to the top of the Game section on the XMB and look in Game Data Utility. That will show what game installs you have and if there are any duplicates.

Yeah already did that and saw nothing extra, but thanks. I thought maybe it was some weird glitch from the cfw/jb/or manager. I think some games have just dissappeared (won't show up on the manager or when I open up my hd) but they are still taking up space. I'm know at least one game dissapeared for no reason.

Any program to see/delete every single file? I already deleted the Recycled folder of my ext. HD with TreeSize, that freed up about 3 gigs, but I still have about 20 gigs un-accounted for. It's like their hidden because of corruption or something. Also I ran disk check and have show hidden files selected. Thanks again for any help.

I have the same problem, you could try using a ftp like blackbox to find the missing duplicates but I did try that and found nothing.

    Just overwrites it.
Same with Patches and PSN Games you already have.

No, it wouldn't be that, I'm talking about an external HD I have. At least one game dissappeared for no reason and I think 3 more did too. I went through and counted all the gigs (folders/files) I can see and I'm missing at least 20 from what it shows as currently being used.
