So I started playing the 14-some-odd Gb release of inFamous 2. Not too far into it, when I got the fourth dead drop, voice overs started dropping and subtitles barely flashed on screen. I started the mission "Bertrand Takes the Stage," and the same thing happened. That was last night. This morning, it seems to be working fine again, but I'm uncertain it will stay that way. Any ideas as to why it would do that or how to fix it?
This might be part of it: how long were you playing before the voices dropped and how well ventilated is the area your PS3 is situated in?
I Completed the game and it was all fine....
i guess your Ps3 is getting too heated...

I actually went down and bought a 14 inch high velocity air circulator (ie, a fan on steroids :) ) to sit in the hallway, pointing towards the shelf the PS3 is on, just to put some of the colder air on it. I haven't had the issues since I bought the fan.
My guess would be (due to your description) that you are getting to much heat build up in the PS3.
If it's in a cabinet..........pull it out, if possible.
If it's in the open...........stick a fan near it (pointing directly at it).
See if that helps and give us a reply if it does or doesn't.
I bought Infamous 2 as soon as it was available and still have not had a chance to get started on it. I'm just a bit jealous! :) Hope you are having fun with it.
