Backups work on external hard drive but not internal?

Hi, looking for some help please, basically i can run backups from external hard drive but if i put them on the internal 320gb drive i get black screens, is there something i need to do. when this happens on the external i press select+x to sort it, but doesn't seem to help for the internal. i have tried multiman, rogero etc all the same.

Try the R3 option in Multiman (permissions fix) on each game, or d/l the permissions fix.pkg

do you mean press r3 on the game folder to create shadow copy, yes i tried that already, no difference.

cool thay worked, didn't realise needed to run permissions fix.pkg again, do i need to run it every time i turn the ps3 on then? thanks for your help
