Killzone 3 not working
Not sure if I can ask this year, but I am having problems booting some games from my hd. Sometimes it seems like the screen boots up correctly, but then I just get this black screen. I am particularly having this problem with killzone 3. Do you know what I can do or do I just have a bad copy of the game. Thanks.
Quick question: I'm using MultiMAN 01.16.00 and my backups do not load if I don't run lvl2 patcher before starting MultiMAN. Is there something else I should do, becuse I heard, that MultiMAN should be able to emulate backups without runing lvl2 patcher.
Tnx for you answers.
Edit: found something
Good thread. New to the PS3 scene and after doing the JailBreak Tutorial (K-meaw's 3.55 CFW Patched PUP), MultiMan 1.16 (multiMAN ver 1.16.01 BASE (20110220_180000).pkg), and BDEMU-355KM.pkg to resolve the "Multiman Cannot enable BD-ROM emulator. Functionality may be restricted". Had a hard time finding information on how to proceed with the backups. Thanks perspex.
Are you using HDMI for the video out?

I don't even own a ps3 or much less this was my first day of jailbreaking one that actually didn't have 3.60fw on it... I hate when people come to me with a rhetorical question! Anyways... I am requestiing for future people trying to get to this to work...
Find a good cfw 3.55 to use.. I used waninoko's because I have known him for a few years and seen his work.. but hell, everyone makes mistakes... I'm just glad I checked to see if this was one of the brickable PS3's that it could happen to on wanin's cfw.. anyways..
Note: This is just to backup games on the ps3 internal harddrive that came in it when you got it.
There is options to use an external HD.. I will check more into it.. I think there is Fat32 and NTFS support but 2 totally different setups you have to arrange)
1) Jailbreak your PS3 with a suitable CFW.
2) Copy the unrar/unzip the files to the root of your flash drive.
3) Stick it in the ps3
4) Go under games to install pkg files and find multiman.pkg and install..
5) Load multi-man and insert game disc to backup and press game settings option and choose backup.
6) Wait...for awhile..go visit ****hub or smoke a joint.
7) When done I went ahead and reset the console.
8) I stuck another game in the bluray to make sure I could load it without the original I just backed-up.
9) Go to multiman and select the game you just installed by hitting x.
10) Now the ps3 will look like it does a quick reset.
11) Go to where the game usually loads from the disc and you should see the one you just selected in multiman and made a backup of.
12) Play the game
Now using the rest of what multiman is good for I have not had the chance... but would be glad to add to the post once I get into that situation.
I know I am a n00b to this site.. but not a n00b to modding/jailbreaking/hacking consoles.. it just would take a way a lot of confusion if you could find some good wiki's on how to just do that.. because it sounds to me like multiman is about the best one out there and has had some continuous support in the dev community.
Great utility to the coder... I forget who did this one..
9) I loaded multiman and selected the game I just copied.
Hello everyone, i am having some problems. I have multiman 1.17.04 and i took some screenshots with it. I recognized the taken files to be in a .RAW format. I dont know how to open these files. The i tried opening them with my adobe photoshop cs3 and it come up with a dialogue window. I dont know what to do then. When i just press ok, i get a wierd black image. Help.
have you tried changing the file extension to say .jpeg or maybe .png? just a shot in the dark but that may fix your problem..
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloa...jsp?ftpID=4040 <- this is an extension for CS3 for viewing RAW Images
