Multiman Tutorial

I have just jailbroken my ps3 using the tutorial found on this page. But however, to use the back up manger, the one I am considering to use is multiman, there is no real tutorial for it (that I can find). I was wondering first if there was a tutorial for it and second where I can find it. Thanks.

PS I dont want to apologize that I realize this is a noob post and going to piss off some people bc this is obvious information for some people. But I honestly cant find any information on it and that is why I needed to do this post. Thanks

there is a tutorial for it, look arround you will find it.
1- format memory stick to fat32
2- extract files to the stick.. make sure files are on root of stick and not just the folder.
3- plug stick into ps3, then go to install package
4- should say multiman v 1.15.03 or such. hit x on it and install.

look in files for a readme after you extract them. it should say which pkg file you need for your system.

Thanks! It worked, but now I have another question. What is FW mean. Is that the version number of your ps3? If my ps3 is 3.55 and it says 3.5 for the game, does that mean I cant play it unless I get my ps3 to 3.55. Thanks for the help.

yea FW means FIRMWARE...the version of your ps3 system. and no..if the games says anything it will work for you..if you have it jailbroken...but if your on official fw...den if the game's fw is higher then it will ask u to update before you can play.

Thanks! That helped, but I have another problem. How exactly do I boot games off the multiman. First of all when I plug in the hard drive, I see the game, but what file do I put in the game to boot it up. If I boot the eboot in the game, it says, do you want to start the game now w/o exiting, xmb, and that some games do not support a launch mode, i say yes or no, it brings me back to the main screen. I definitely do not get how to launch games off the hd. Thanks for your help in advance.

when they tell you..you want to directly start the game or not..say NO....it will take u bak to xmb...den all u need to do is turn on the game from the apps/games folder(NOT RECOMMENDED)....but it doesnt work half the time..so best way is to put any blu-ray game into the ps3...den load the game..and just launch the game from the blu-ray game icon. Say you put in the original game of dirt 2 inside...the ps3 will read the game as DIRT2...den after u load whatever game you want from multiman...say u loaded god of war 3...den wen u jump bak to main screen..the disc icon which showed DIRT2 at first will now show GOD OF WAR 3...den jus launch the game from the disc icon...simple!

ok i think i understand but it seems like none of the games are being recongized by the ps3 multiman, what format does the harddrive need to be in? Thanks.

Not sure if I can ask this year, but I am having problems booting some games from my hd. Sometimes it seems like the screen boots up correctly, but then I just get this black screen. I am particuarly having this problem with killzone 3. Do you know what I can do or do I just have a bad copy of the game. Thanks.
