when you say use a usb stick into ps3 i take it this means you cant use an ext hdd to do this?
Yea, any anything in fat32 format will do.

hey i need advise on partitioning my 2tb hd. because i dont want to repartition it in the future. thanks right now i have it at 1000GB NTFS and 888 FAT32. should i change it....
what id you dont have BLES80608 on your PS3???
Make your FAT32 smaller, its obsolete but still nessecary for PS3. I think 300GB FAT32 is all you'll need as most things on PS3 still require FAT32, but not THAT much space is required. As NTFS has large file limits far beyond FAT32's 4GB limit, its more practical to make up the majority of your drive

ok cool but what can you put on the external hard(NTfs) drive that will benefit the PS3 cause it wont read media only FAT32 can or in the future will it be possible to through NTfs. Thanks
