Multiman Ntfs support Tutorial! –

NTFS SUPPORT TUTORIAL !!!
Right click computer, then properties/Device manager
Click on Disk drives..
Right click on your external HDD and go to properties.
Click the "Details" button. From here you have to choose "PARENT" to get Vendor id and Device id.
PARENT
EXAMPLE :
USB\VID_152D&PID_2329\149B801081FF
So VID/VendorID= "152d" AND PID/productID= "2329"
EXAMPLE :
Your CFG should look like this(When i say CFG file, i mean the USB.CFG file that comes with the download of Multiman)
0x13fd:0x1240:1
0x152d:0x2329:v
V= volume numbers... so it depends on how many partitions you have on your externalHDD,
I have 2 so mine is :
0x13fd:0x1240:1
0x152d:0x2329:2
Save the CFG file and copy it to a usb stick.
plug it in your ps3
open Awesome file manager
and Copy USB.cfg to /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR !!!
DONE !!!
You can not play games via a ntfs drive, but u can copy them to the internal drive using multimans file manager.

No, when you downloaded Multiman, in the rar file, you will get a file called USB.CFG, inside that a code will already be written, just below that you need to type your code.

I did follow the instructions (both this and the ones on the tutorial on youtube), still, no luck with multiman detecting the ext hdd.... I got a WD essential SE 1tb, could it be that is not compatible?

so far can't get it working. I partitioned my ext hdd, one partition is ntfs and the other one is fat32. So far, seems to be reading only fat32 (and set the final value in the usb.cfg to :2 instead of :1 since i have 2 partitions, right?). Also, when i press START+(/\) it doesn't say nothing.
edit: i got it working! Thanks for the support! P.s. is it normal that when i enable the ntfs, multiman can see only the ntfs partition (and the games in it) and not also the fat32 partition?

when you put the USB.CFG file, you didnt rename it right?, cos dont do that..and also...in the USB.CFG...check if you have mistakenly deleted the first code..that needs to be there...just below it, your hdd codes need to be there. Maybe, your partitions are of diff. formats maybe thats why...if it still doesnt work...u could try naming it 1 volume

LOL, yes it's normal. When you enable the NTFS search...it will disable FAT32...When you do that...only the NTFS and the games backed up on your ps3's internal HDD will show up.

Good job perspex. I always wanted to make a tutorial about NTFS support in multiman since it need some knowledge to make it work.
Just a side note: it only copy files/folder from NTFS to Internal. I tried copy from internal to NTFS and didnt work.
