How To Backup Copy-Protected Saves (Needs CFW) –

Hi All Today Im Gonna Show You How To Backup Copy-Protected Saves And Get Around Your PS3 Giving You Save Data Owner Problems So Lets Begin...
First off insert a usb stick into your ps3 and boot up multiman then press start and select to goto the filemanager then on the right side navigate to /dev_hdd0/home/00000001/savedate/ and on the left side navigate to your usb stick which is most likely /dev_usb000/ or /dev_usb006/ then goto /ps3/savedate/ or create it.
now on the right side of your screen find your copy-protected save

load up the icon0.png to make sure its the right save now copy the save folder to your usb stick by pressing O now your copy-protected save should be backed up to check quit multiman and goto saved data utility and click on your usb stick and your save should be there when i did this my save was larger than the save in the normal location but thats fine.
i tested this with dante's inferno, whatever you do dont delete the save off your ps3 or even if you copy it back over using the same method your save wont show up and the game wont see it if you have deleted it or wiped your ps3 and lost it dont worry simply boot up the game and create a new game and save it the first chance you get once you have saved the game quit back to the xbm.
now if you did delete it and created a new save like i said everything should be fine, if your save wasnt deleted and you want to restore your save from the backup you made for whatever reason then your good to go, boot up multiman and navigate to the folders mentioned earlier if there not still open and on the right side of your screen enter your saved game folder, check the icon0.png to make sure its the correct save now enter the backed up save game folder on the left side off your screen again check the icon.png to be sure.

now once your in your saved game folder and backed up save game folder make sure your on the left side of the screen and press O to overwrite the save content of the save thats on the ps3 hdd, overwrite everything exept the param.sfo you dont want to overwrite this, that way you wont need to worry about it giving you save data owner problems this is good if you have downloaded a 100% complete save because if you dont overwrite the param.sfo it wont say you cant load it.
that should be it your save should load with no problems dont worry about the save progress and stuff being wrong when you goto the save in saved data utility thats because that info is in the param.sfo just boot up the game and load your save up and then save the game this will update the param.sfo and the correct info will come up next time you check the save in saved data utility enjoy and if you like this tutorial please show your appreciation with rep also if anyone knows how to get the images so you can see them on the post instead of seeing the link let me know thanks.

but copying doesnt mean that you can use them again - like if you copy a NFS:HP savegame and try to use it on another PS3 it will telle you that you cant use it, so even if you restore it you cant use it on the same PS3 youve copied it from (I guess)
