Unable to update ps3 to install cfw/linux dual boot

I am running 3.55 CFW Kmeaw. I installed the Rebug 3.60 spoof app and didnt like it, so i tried removing the spoof through the app but it kept giving me errors even after a restart, So I removed the rebug spoof app icon from the xmb anf forgot about it.

My problem now is this. I want to install cfw/linux dual boot, but my PS3 wont update because of the spoof I think. I formatted a usb 4g thumbdive to fat32 and made a folder structure like this: X:/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP Can somebody please help me?

Go to ofw 3.55 first and then install the new cfw

Have you tried installing from the recovery menu?
