    s3up:I have a idea

Wondering if it is possible to take a 3.55 cfw ps3 and decrypt the hdd, take another hdd this time official 3.60 fw and decrypt that with the "ps3 hdd tool". Then possibly install linux using the new method (dual boot method) onto the decrypted official 3.60 fw whis could give us a working envoiroment to be able to dump the ps3 and code evrything on the ps3 in its own envoiroment, and also give us the keys. or should i say our individual console key?
Would this be possible or just another idea?s3up:

Seriously, the ONE way everyone is going to get 3.60 CFW, is by a exploit. There will most likely be no 3.60 cfw update.pup ever because sony used random keys for each machine.
Won't know if the boat floats if you don't sail it. nothing is impossibe!

Yeah I didn't think about that, But! that leads me to another idea.
I wonder if anybody has tried putting a decrypted hdd from 3.55 cfw (with rebug or rebug 3.60 spoof) into a 3.60 machine? I would try but I only have 1 s3up:. If it would work it would be like a "hardware spoof". lol ya never know...

If you do that, machine says "hdd is corrupted, what r u tryin t o do? lamer "
Because Firmware on any machines "not just Ps3" Xbox360,dvd players etc....
Not writed to hdd, it's writed their flash memory...
If u can decrypt a 3.60 hdd, only you can see is the file changes.
Like 3.15 has a otheros but 3.21 & above is not...

Actually, on slims some of the firmware files are on the hard drive. But no, you couldn't install linux once you booted into 3.60 (you actually wouldn't boot into 3.6 because the other firmware files on your nor wouldn't be able to decrypt the wrongly versioned files on your hard drive.) ^^
