Offline Cheat Device

I was having a discussion with a friend of mine about all the new avenues that can be taken with the newly opened PS3, and one the things we were both debating was the creation of a cheat device, preferably one that operates offline. Does anyone know if there is such a thing as of yet, or even a homebrew app that operates as such? Someone in a chatroom mentioned something called "Ubuntu" or something to that nature.

Anyone know anything about this?

Ubuntu is a variation of Linux but there is a homebrew that can give you all trophies but I'm not sure where to find it
