Has anyone else had their PS3 break?

Broke down how? If it stopped working and you did nothing to it and its under warranty,then you are fine.You really need to give more information on how the 'break down' occured

The PS3 is a piece of shit it broke down on me like 3 times now LOL

But in all seriousness, how long have you had it for? I got a warranty on my PS3 and just take it back to Best Buy when it starts acting up. By the way, the Slim is already out, it's BEEN out for quite a while now so I don't understand what you mean by hoping that "its out soon."

Check to see if your warranty is still valid and if not, get yourself a slim.

I have my PS3 with 4 years and I havent had any trouble with it since I bought it.

I have one of the last backwards compatible fat PS3s (80 GIG.) the BluRay laser went out at 13 months (yea of course right after warranty was out.) I replaced the laser and it went out again 1 year later. Replaced it, that one went bad 1 week later. Just replaced it again. Can't blame SONY for the 3 after the original went out, got them from various Ebay sellers. If you are out of warranty, and it is the the Bluray laser, then replace it your self if you are comfortable taking the PS3 apart. It is cheap and pretty easy. If you gave us a bit more info, it would be easier to advise what to do.

im on my 6th i have 2 ps3s fat ps3 have overheating issues had 60gb lasted 4 years, 40gb lasted a year 40gb 1 month 40gb 1year have a slim and fat 120gb 80gb if they die ill get another one 200 is all a used one cost were i live
