Okay, I'm wondering if it's possible to access the game files one CFW? So you can edit the base game files and such to add other stuff. Like mesh files, .ini files, .exe files etc

I'm wondering this for a couple reasons, number one being to add our own stuff into games and load it up, like PC Modifications and the like.

At the very least, is it possible to hex edit the base game files?

Edit Of Sotha: Ah, silly me, I forgot about the BootOS installers capabilities to access the full PS3 filestructure. xDDD

Okay, a more answerable question i guess, does anyone know how much access the BootOS (AsBestOS) has to the hardrive? Is it full access so say if I install a game to the PS3 in the GameOS, then i switch to the BootOS and access the HDD, should I be able to see installed games? (Via backup manager, i mean)

I think you misunderstood, I'm not cheating, I'm accessing the data files to see if I can get PC-Only modifications to games working, you ever played a game and wanted to add something in? That's what I'm trying to do. :P

yes you can see installed games and access all the games files. you can even see what you are asking for in multimans file explorer. But to do what you r talking about im guessing multiman would not do enough. And if you run into files that cannot be moved or rewrote use dev_blind but be careful you can brick your console.

    Thanks guys. :3

I'll see what I can do, if it's a lost cause maybe I could try through the actual Linux BtOS? if I can get it working I want the BootOS to work too for those of us without a windows machine, I'm assuming that the FTP servers don't work on Unix systems?
