Unable to go back to OFW after Geohotz CFW 3.55

Hey Guys,
I was wondering if any others are having the same issue that i am having. I was on OFW 3.55, when Geohotz released his JB (CFW 3.55) i followed his steps and was able to JB my ps3 so that i can play homebrews. I recently wanted to try a different homebrew and in order to do that i need to go back to OFW.
I tried updating via XMB and via recovery mode and it's not working for me. What's plan B? reformat the PS3? Would that work!?

You have to go to http://us.playstation.com/support/sy.../ps3/index.htm and download the update ofw 3.55 using a usb flashdrive and the download will overwrite the cfw

i've tried that.. i said that already.. would "restore file system" really work!?

Alright so i figured it out... "restore file system" and then do the update.. that worked..
