Exactly. Both Kakarotoks and Mathieu said that if you enable the QA flag, it remains even after an update.

I have to assume that he is talking about 3.60 or 3.61, due to the current state of affairs and also his lack of real info in his post.
For that..........the poor sap may earn a -rep due to lack of information in his post.

If he is talking about Downgrading 3.60/3.61 (that is not officially known at the moment)............it's a bad thing!
If he's talking about downgrading from 3.55 to a lower OFW......TOOOOO FUKKIN' LATE!!!!!! Still a bad thing.

Theres a 99% chance hes talking about QA flagging on 3.60+ Greg0u812 its all anyone ever talks about now and its getting annoying ya know Dx

Its already been discussed on most other sites concerning PS3 Hacking that QA flagging cannot be done after 3.55 but people are either mentally under developed on how the internet works (Nice way of saying stupid) or just Straight up stupid enough to not use google

frogfire just made me a little angry by jumping to conclusions even though he may have been right and the situation was obvious. i wanted something funny to happen before the thread was stopped in its tracks

Then theres the 1% of him wanting to QA flag on appropriate firmware and frogfire being considered a bit of a troll for jumping to conclusions but then that just makes TTG a noob for not giving more information and frogfire a noob for answering an underdeveloped question we all lose

There IS a way to "Downgrade" : Desolder the NAND chips and replace them with new ones that have any FW on it below 3.56. That is currently the only "solution"
(quotes because it is infact installing another board like buying new ps3 parts).

so NO it is not IMPOSSIBLE but it is VERY HARD and VERY VERY VERY RISKY. If it goes wrong then you are better off microwaving the rest of that ps3 and buying a new one.

It was never impossible to downgrade just get a certified PS3 dev and slowly cut off his ***** until he gives you step by step direction on how to downgrade (If one wants it that bad they'll do it this way)

We all know theres other ways than just QA mode to downgrade But Mathie..i mean Sony will never tell
