Thinking about it, Geohot said on his video to never edit or patch lvl2 dialog, it will brick he says. He always said he just promotes homebrew, thats all we can do!
I'm thinkin he made the lvl2 dialog so if it was patched or whatever it would brick your PS3. Seems strange he releases his JB CFW 3.55 but all we can do is install homebrew.

ROFL its true though, the place that would allow syscalls to run, and ultimately backup games, is also the section that allows service mode. So if you screw it up and can't boot, there is no fixing it. IT was like this before Geohot patched his CFW, relax a bit haha
