With the keys we have cant we JB 3.5 until someone produces some custom firmware?

This is clearly a noob question as well but is it cool to upgrade to 3.55 until we get custom firmware?

Im on 3.5 and didnt want to downgrade because I will lose my bluray playback. I upgraded believing that losers x3max would actually release something :-/
