Does PSN ban?

I'm interested ino installing a cfw on my ps3 but I dont wanna lose online playing, and ive read there was a banhammer from psn, but I want to know if this is true that sony ban you if you install a cfw or actually this is fake or theres a sowftware that bypass your console or something like that to dont get banned?

If u install cfw there is no PSN for now.... hackers might find a way to connect to PSN but Sony will fix it eventually...
so psn on cfw would always be short lived.

Bans has not been enforced but with current cfw you cannot play on psn anyway. PSN blocked any firmware below 3.60.

Ok listen dude, when you jailbreak your ps3 you enter an ENTIRE **** of cool opportunities for you and your ps3, but everything in life doesn't come so easy. Mess with the bull and you get the horn, you just need to take off your red t-shirt and switch to something stealthy.

You cant expect to get free downloaded games, homebrew, emulators, making your ps3 region free, swapping button layout, change the start up screen, make your own dynamic theme, free psn titles, linux, cool user made media players, file managers, ftp servers,PSN and god knows how much more in the future and not get any payback.

Yes there are always chances of getting banned, but with the right tools and methods the chances are really SLIM. And also even if you do get banned there are methods to get back online with your banned ps3 with console id spoofing and blanking and what not.

Personally with a risk factor being so small, i would and the entire world would recommend you to shift to cfw anyday, any time of the week. Online play will come and go, its a constant battle, but a small price to pay for such epic awesomeness with the ps3. ALso if you get EPIC frustrated for psn to come back, there are manual methods to play online with xlink kai and xbs link.
