2 HD: 1 Custom + 1 Official?

I was thinking and I'd like to know what you think of that:

Having 2 HD, one with CFW, homebrews, etc. When that HD is in, no network connection at all (not only PSN but ALL Internet) to avoid being logged.

And the 2nd with all official, zero custom, zero homebrew, etc.

But I have an interrogation: Is the Sony's log on the drive or is there an amount of memory outside the drive that could store the log?
