I was only a couple years from "growing pubes" when we got our 2600 when it first came out.
Never got the 7800 as I was already into computers when it hit the market and had no interest in video game consoles. I donated the TI-99/4A (still working with the functional cassette player "hard drive") to a computer museum 6 or 7 years ago.
