Homebrew Works Without CFW after install!! :D

Hey All. After installing Geohots update and getting my homebrew on I thought I'd flash back to OFW 3.55 for some online play. I thought "I wonder what would happen if I tried my Homebrew". After disabling my internet connection I decided to load my Snes emulator and wouldn't you know it works!! Now that might seem obvious to others because the homebrew is signed but I found it incredible. So don't be shy people give it a try. Oh and it helps to have a backup manager in there to delete the games list before going back online.

Dont let sony see u playing snex or something of that sort though. What i do is, i sign offline when on homebrew, then enable internet and play normal games.

The issue with the games list doesn't disappear when you are offline. The moment you go online again, whether you are playing a legal game or not, Sony are sent a list of the installed stuff on your system. If they are gunnu ban any1, it'll be the people with backup managers installed.

To the OP: Yes, it is obvious exactly because the packages are signed. The only difference between the JB firmware and the original stuff is the ability to install signed packages manually, so logically the original firmware will still be able to run homebrew if it's already installed. This really doesn't help any1.

Me too. Tbh I don't care if I get banned though. I would much rather have homebrew and play my games offline. I don't pirate but don't flame those who do. I got enough to worry bout than what others do with there consoles lol. I'm waiting on something like xbmc to cover GAMEOS so we can have direct boot of everything!

If you have any experience with the xbox banning and how they know who has chipped/hacked consoles then you will know that Sony must be able to do this to. My advise is to buy yourself another ps3 to play those online games you love so much as the ones that are hacked will only be good for ofline games. Trust me, it may not happen right away, but it will happen. They will wait until all have jumped online with there ps3's and once they think they have enough, BAN! You get dropped kick in the face! Now go and buy your self a ps3 stricly for online game play. second hand, brand new, what ever, just remember I told you.

I been through 4 xbox's as the ban one I buy another.
