Hey guys well I installed kmeaw cfw 3.55 successfully and installed gaia back up manager successfully. I haven't backed up any games yet but if I click on gaia in the xmb it opens fine.
I installed snes9x for 3.55 but when I open it from the xmb my tv stays on it's "no signal" screen (It's the tv's way of a blank/black/blue screen)
I tried other things like the lv2 thing, that doesn't open either same thing happens but gaia opens up fine??
Also tried downloaded mednafen, vba and umm another nes emulator (fceu?? forgot it's name) and 7zip can't zip them. mednafen downloaded just as a pkg file not in a folder but when going on that in package files on ps3 through my usb an error comes up and it doesn't install

Your "no signal" problem sounds like a hi-def/hdmi issue. Since I don't own a hi-def tv, I'm not going to like and speculate what will fix it so you can get it to work. Just keep in mind, some things aren't capable of hi-def resolution.
As far as your pkg issue, if the one you have isn't specifically for 3.55 kmeaw, then you can hang it up there. It will never install because it isn't compatible.
Quick FYI: You're more than likely going to need BlackBox (which is for FTP) on your PS3 and some type of FTP on your PC...FileZilla or something along those lines. Why you may ask? Because once the pkg is installed for the emulator, you're going to need to get the zip files in the "games/gamez" directory. Some have external harddrive support (which ones, dunno) but most are going to require a folder on your harddrive where the pkg installed). Most emulators btw, act exactly like their PC counterpart. So you don't need to unzip the files, just place them in the directory "games/gamez" folder.

Thanks for that reply.
The "no signal" on my tv I think it's just it's way of a blank screen. Everytime I turn on a game it says no signal first for about a second before the game boots but with snes9x and also I tested lv2, just stays on the no signal screen ut gaia opens up fine.
Thanks for that last bit aswell I didn't know that but if I wanted could I just load roms off usb instead of that??? (or is this a complteley different thing to loading roms??)
Thanks
If I can't get this working I think I'll update to ofw 3.56 and just use pc for old console emulation (but so much more eciting to do it on another console lol)
