And I know this is going to sound stupid but...listed is the AT90USB162 8MHz..
So would I go with one of the teensys cause theyre 16MHz?

u can try out the teensy 1.0 version, it 'should' work just fine... i dont have an AVRKEY myself, so im no expert with their stuff, but as far as my memory serves me i remember users alwayz used the teensy 1.0 , so ya ur choice m8 =]
