Is it safe to apply game patches running Kmeaw CFW 3.55?

If a game asks to install an update, is there any reason I shouldn't take it? Is there code in there that will prevent me from playing my purchased games from the hard drive?

95% of the time it works fine. If it doesn't play after the update, just delete the game data and re-install, then don't update. Simple. Most of the time they will work without a hitch though. None of mine have messed up.
