Does multiman offer NTFS support for playing games or just copying of files into the internal HD? My internal HD has about 50GB so am guessing I don't have that many options in terms of internal capacity. I would like to play Dirt 2 [6GB File in there] but can't copy if to the FAT32 HD for obvious reasons. Kindly assist.

it only allows data copy, you cannot load games off a NTFS external HDD, sorry!

Thanks a lot. So I need to have multiman running in NTFS mode for file copy. I believe the ps3 file format in the internal HD supports larger file sizes. One little question, can I delete and add games based on 'play request' and still have the game data saved on my ps3? Or by deleting the games to load new ones I loose the saved data?

One thing you can do, guessing that Dirt 2 is a PS3 game labeled folder.. You can patiently re-organize your Dirt 2 folder, basically splitting it in a sense. Make two folders with 3 gigs each, so when you copy both folders to your FAT32 HD, it'll add up to 6gb, bypassing the simple 4 gig limit.. or if the game has 1 file itself that's larger than 4gb.. simply split the file with a program, not by making two separate folders with this one (google if you don't know how). There are plenty of ways around it, as long as you keep a cool head and think , hope this helps.

It does and doesn't at the same time. The reason MM has NTFS support is because the ps3 restricts file copying over 4gbs, same as FAT formatted HDs.. But if you can bypass that 4gb limit then yes the ps3 can support larger file sizes.

I split the files using winrar to create separate .rar files. This was not workable since joining created a larger file and it failed. Dirt2 has one file which is like 6gig. Is there any other 'split style' or programs that can work for such files since it seems ps3 will also not accept the large file.

U can use HJSplit, but u have to change file extension .0001 to (psarc) .6660 then for other file 0002 to 6661...............
Or u can use FTP (This is the way quicker than splitting, copying to usb then merging to internal drive)
    1. Download Filezilla (3.5)
    2. Make a wired connection (faster) with your ps3.
    3. Open Multiman & go to the System Info. then check your ps3's IP. (Don't close Multiman)
    4. Open Filezilla & fill those as;
    Server : (Your Ps3's IP)
    Username : FTPD12345
    Password : (Leave it blank)
    Port : 21

Just hit the "Quick connection" button and now you are connected to ps3.
On the middle/right screen, you gonna see your ps3's files. Enter the "Hdd0" & copy your game to Games/Gamez folder.
    Enjoy it...

Thanks a lot.. am quite familiar with filezilla so am guessing this should work quite well. One little question. Do I need a jumper cable to connect to the ps3 or I can do it with a usb cable? How do I initiate the wired connection?

Just use standard Cat5 cable on your router/modem.
If you don't have a router/modem u must use Cross cable between your PC & PS3.
Then go to your Ps3's "Network Settings" then make a wired connection.
