I bought an X3max too. I have not been able to downgrade to 3.41. I have gone through the step by step on their website and I get nowhere. I successfully loaded the X3dowgrade.bin onto the X3max done the power on and eject button and my PS3 just opens like normal. Then I proceed with the USB with the cited information and the PS3 boots normally. I was planning on waiting until they realease the 3.5 update but I don't want to wait and have this thing be worthless. Any help would be great.

have you power cycled the ps3 before you try to preform the jailbreak. To power cycle first turn off the ps3 by pressing the powerbutton. Next flip on and off the power switch in the back if you have a phat console or if you have a slim them unplug the ps3 from power then plug it back in. Then plug in the x3max and then press power and eject within .5 secs. the ps3 will turn off after 10 secs. turn it back on you should be in service mode and if you are using a highdef connection you will then need to proceed to using the composite cables that came with the ps3 (Yellow,Red,White) into your tv if your using a normal tv then dont sweat it. you should now be seeing the xmb interface with a red square in the bottom left cornor. you may now turn off the console Normally through xmb or power button but do not unplug it or flip power switch. plug in the your usb drive containing the downgrade files with nothing else left on them to the very top right usb port. Power on the console and let it sit for at least 10-20 mins. Mine using the ti 84 only took 4-5 but in anycase wait until the ps3 shuts itself off and then unplug the drive put it in you pc and put the second .self file and make sure its the only thing on there and boot the console again this should only takes seconds wait for it to turn off unplug usb and presto your on 3.41 assuming all went well. let me know if this didnt work and ill try and help you out.

siscan I'm trying to flash my x3max with the newest payload. I cannot get the x3max to work properly.I cant boot any homebres or games. However I checked the system info and the 3.55 spoof worked but i get black screens when i try to play games. I can go into the multiman manger and all. but when i try to start a game, it hangs? any help plz. I followed the instructions for generic.bin to the tee. Plz Help

Try a few games? Some give you black screen. And ensure you have a disk in the drive.

damanptyltd I have a minimus so i can use that for the new payload 355 spoof it works fine. also my x3max works fine with the x3max v4.bin. However, when I try to use that generic.bin then program any hex file. it doesn't work right. It seems like everything is working until u get to the xmb with the game preview. the picture is grey with the game name next to it.I ordered another x3max becuase I thought it was damaged. both are doing the same thing

Thz Damanptyltd, I came to this conclusion, Hermes 3.55 doesn't work on X3 only PL3 3.55 works, However you have to use a disc with Gaia. Multi works fine
