Explaining PL3 glitch? –

I noticed on the new GAIA manager that it says to use the lv2 patcher and then the fix permissions fix. Im confused because doesnt GAIA auto fix anything FTP'd to your system. Why would I have to run this is i ever get a black screen on a game? My system seems to be running ok with playing backups so should i even bother with the permission fix? I never had 3.41 jailbroken(i just went to 3.55) so was that a glitch that messed with that firmware when upgrading?

Some people are having problems getting games to play. If nothin's broke don't fix it. If your not getting a black screen or other problems when trying to boot a game, don't bother with the permissions fix. FTP clients can sometimes change file permissions when copying. I use flashfxp personally, and haven't had any of the issues others are having.

Yeah, mine's been perfect. The only thing I could never get working was the patched eboot method. I even tried infamous, a game tested and working, and couldn't get it to work. I'm just happy backup managers are back. I haven't had a single problem with a single game since lvl2 version 2.
