Eclipse Programming error
Eclipse Programming error –
This seems to be a rather unknown problem as i cannot find anything and i posted about it on another forum and they didn't seem to know about it either.
My problem is that when i try to load a new .hex or try to erase my Eclips3 dongle, it starts Programming in the Eclips3 updater, once it reaches 99% it starts over and repeats this a few times untill a message with "Programming error." pops up.
It still works on my PS3 to jailbreak it with the hex i used before when it stil worked, i just cannot update it or erase it from the dongle.
Does anyone have a similair problem and/or knows how to fix this?
EDIT : Last hex file programmed on it was Hermes V4b
so, which hex have actually worked? Have you ever been able to successful flash it?
Yes, it used to work perfectly, i've used the Hermes 2, 3 and 4b payloads and the v4b is the last one succesfully flashed on it. And now it just can't flash or erase anymore
and you've always used the same computer? same windows os? same program to hex? I dont know too much about Eclipse, just trying to troubleshoot with you.
Yeah, they were always used on the same computer, with the same OS, using the Eclipse updater from their website
Ok..... just clarify... when you use a old hex it finishes completely, but when you try a new one.... it doesn't finish? which one exactly?
What it does on any hex or the erase option in the Eclips3 updater is :
- load a hex (any doesnt matter ifits old or now ) or i choose the "ERASE ONLY" option it says "Programming" and goes from 0% to 99% then starts at 0% again goes back to 99% and repeats this a few times, then it comes up with "programming error"
So it happens on both old and new hex files, and on the option to erase hex files from the eclipse
I suggest you email Eclips3 support or go into #psgroove on efnet. Doesn't make sense. Also, test it out on another computer. Very weird.
i've tested it on 3 computers so far and all do the same.
What doesn't make sense either is that the v4b that was flashed on it succesfully before it started doing this is still working to jailbreak my ps3
Try running as administrator... (just a thought)
