E3 card reader downgrade FAILED and PS3 shut down after few second –
Hi guys, first of all i want to say hi to all.
I tried downgrading my ps3 SLIM but it didn't work.
I read all the post but i didn't find anyone with this kind of problem.
The first step was to put the E3 downgrade.bin in the E3Upgrader, the light of the reader went blue and then i safely removed the drive.
( If i reinsert the drive it's normal that the file .bin disappear?? )
Then i put the E3 reader on my ps3, press power and then eject ( maybe the first time i tried it without unpluging the cable but later i tried the right method)...
The light of the reader became red and then blue and then the ps3 shut down immediately.
I tried to power again the console but i just got a green screen for 2 second with an image like when the console is booting up and then nothing happen. The lcd keeps saying no signal ( i'm using a component cable).
I tried few other times the same step but without success.
Right now the console doesn't seem either to boot.
When i try to power on the console pressing power and eject right after, when the light on the reader becames blue, the console shut down.
Why now i can't boot up my ps3? I can't get either the recovery menu...
Thank you so much to everyone that can give me a hint...
you can close guys, fortunately i resolved it...
How did you resolve this? I'm having the same problem :-(
I didn't know that i entered the service mode.
I put on a new formatted usb stick the file Lv2diag.self FILE 2, in the root of usb drive, in order to get out of factory service mode.
It is for this that the console was powering up and then shutting down after 10 second.
1 : Take a new and fresh USB removable drive, insert into PC. Format it has fat32 and put in the root ONLY LV2Diag.self FILE 2 on the USB.
2 : If u have a slim detach the ac power cable and insert this USB drive into the right USB PORT of your console ( It must be placed in the outermost right port)
3. After insert the usb, re-insert the power cable and Power on your console, after 10 seconds it will power off
4 : Turn on your console with NO USB inserted and you will be out of factory service mode into retail mode with your chosen firmware version installed.
Let me know if this work for you...
Hi, could someone give me some advice.
I have the Minimus AT90USB162 board. I have loaded the hex onto it, ps3 goes into service mode.
Then I turn the ps3 off and put my USB pen stick containing the 2 files on the root directory (PS3UPDAT.PUP and Lv2diag.self from file 1) the files are not in folders just both files in the root dir...into the ps3 most right port.
Power on the PS3 and the pen stick light is flashing as if its being read by the ps3, wait for 10 mins or so and then the pen sticks stops reading and the power light continuesly flashes...i have left it for half an hour and it has still been flahing so i just ended up killing the pwr.
I have tried downloading all files again and re-writing them more than once and still nothing...
The ps3 does not load after that..i turn it on power light goes green then 60 seconds later it turns off.
BUT...if i put firmware 3.50.pup (which is the firmware i am currently on) onto the usb stick and plug it in, it does exactly as before so I end up killing the power again but when i turn ps3 back on it loads normally into 3.50!
