upgrading my ps3 hdd, wat will happen to all my data?

they have really opened my eyes though...im the type of person who starts the game on the hardest difficulty available...i have found out most people are not like that at all lol...seems like alot of people just like to cruise through on easy and i really dont understand that..where is the challenge? what is fun about killing EVERYTHING in one hit and never being on the edge of death with low ammo and no save point in sight? Dead Space 2 has me on my toes from the jump i am almost always low on health and ammo and i am a GREAT shot lol...the weakest necros can kill u in about 2 hits from full health...thats fun to me...CHALLENGE...if u wanna fly thru something just watch a movie

LMAO... Vault 102 was a user mod for the PC version of Fallout 3. It was created so people could make their own vaults without having to create them from scratch. I'm actually going to change it to vault 112, the Tranquility Lane vault. Kinda a mix between a Fallout 3 reference and a Matrix reference, since the whole vault lived in a computer generated virtual reality where the residents were starting to realize that their world wasn't real.

And yes, this thread got totally sidetracked. At least it happened after the OP's questions got answered, lol.

LMAO. I love sandbox action rpgs like fallout. Companions are great for the ones that hate wandering alone.

ED-E can be a huge pain with that running off sh*t. And before the 1.2 patch he kept attacking NCR troops. I had to reload the game 50 times because he kept picking fights and getting slaughtered. After the FOA upgrade he's a ton better though. Him and Boone took out a deathclaw that ran up behind me once. I have Boone wearing t51b armor and he's equipped with an anti-materiel rifle with .50 hand load ammo. He's a f-ing beast now. B*st*rd keeps stealing my kills, LMAO. Whenever I see him damn near disintegrate a raider, nightkin, or robot, it makes me laugh. I swear the bloody mess perk I have works with him sometimes. And ED-E with that blue laser zapper is a beast too.

My wife and best friend both hated fallout 3 and absolutely love new vegas (I have no idea why). The reason it got bad reviews is because it was really glitchy before the 1.2 patch (and even still has a few glitches), and because it's based around the same time as fallout 3, just in a different region. People say it's the same as fallout 3, but it's not meant to be a sequel. Bethesda makes f*cking awesome games. I've been a fan of them since morrowind. The pc versions are especially good because of fan made mods.

Did you do the upgrade after all to yo ps3? If so any advise? My 1TB Drive came in today and want to install it but I dont wanna back up all my games again I currently have a 500GB thats loaded like 2gb left, then I have alot of games that have files over 4gb so external may be out of he question to use temporary thats why I went internal besides the speed. HEHE funny how this thread didnt stay on track. Please let me know, thanks...

Thread got totally hijacked and sidetracked, now it's trying to get back on point. LMAO.

Quoted myself from another thread, just do what I said below and you'll be happy. Keep in mind the trophy sync will not work because $ony will reject your ps3 unless its on 3.56.

1. Delete your game data (this will greatly speed up the process, and can be easily re-installed later much quicker).

2. Backup your "GAMES" folder to an external hard drive using comgenie's awesome file manager. It will auto split and auto re-join any files it needs to.

3. Delete your homebrew.

4. Create a backup in system settings.

5. Sync your trophies (if you care about them)

6. Revert back to ofw 3.55 through the recovery menu.

7. Replace your hard drive with the new one and follow the ps3 prompts, using the OFW file when asked.

8. Restore from your backup file created in step 4 through system settings.

9. Flash to kmeaw's cfw.

10. Re-install all your homebrew apps, as well as comgenie's awesome file manager.

11. Copy your "GAMES" folder back over to your new internal hard drive using congenie's awesome file manager. It will re-join any files it needs to automatically.

12. Re-install your deleted game data.

13. Re-sync your trophies (might take more than 1 click. I don't have many and it took 2 tries to get 'em all).

P.S. - It seems like a pain in the ass because it is. Don't cut corners with a $300 console unless you want a $300 paperweight.
