technically, yes, it's $30. well worth it though, considering what you unleash in the atv2! apple might be getting smart about the jailbreaking of their devices now that a federal court ruled jailbreaking/rooting was NOT unlawful. the atv3 should theoreticlaly get the iphone4s/ipad2 cpu, the dual core a5 (atv2 has the iphone4/ipad1 cpu). but with the release of the new ipad (ipad3?) sporting a new QUAD core a5, jailbreak developers will again need to reverse engineer it to try and find a flaw to exploit - IF they can find one. my guess is that since apple knows about the court ruling, they'll try to implement actual anti-jailbreaking technology. however, i digress... a jailbroken atv2 ($99 + $30?), to me, is still a good buy!
