Is there some kind of network profile changer for PS3?

Ok this is my problem:
I have a PC (1 LAN socket only)
a ~10m long LAN cable (for PC)
a short LAN cable (for PC <-> PS3)
a PS3 which is not connected to the internet with WLAN atm (because of the update)
and a f***ing PC desk with 2 wheels (2 are broken thats why i dont want to move it that often)
It would be very nice if there is a way to change the network settings of my PS3 with profiles (eg. PSN, FTP,...) so i dont have to change submask,IP.. whatever everytime i want to ftp something or (hopefully soon) connect to PSN because it takes some time to change the numbers with up/down
if there isnt such a tool maybe someone is able to develope something like this because it doesnt seem to be that hard to code (even if i'm not smart enough though lol)
if this works my last problem is the desk but thats another story..

I never change the settings in my ps3. All I'm using is a 4 port network switch to connect my modem/router, pc, tv (u-verse tv off ethernet), and ps3. I never change any of those settings. Just leave the IP range and subnet mask range the same across your entire network and everything will auto configure.
As far as creating a utility that saves and changes your settings, I don't know if it's even possible. If it is, I don't know how many people would even use it. Because of the low number of end users, and the general fact that its un-needed with the info I provided above, I doubt a dev would even bother with it.

So if I connect the PS3 with my router (with the FTP settings) PSN and FTP would work (if there wouldnt be 3.freakin56) so i only have to switch the cables?

I don't even switch the cables. Just plug everything into your router. Your computer can still connect to the ps3 through a router, no need for a direct cable. Just use all default settings on everything.
As far as the update to 3.56; turn off your PSN auto sign in option and disable auto system software update and you won't even be asked to update. Or setup the new work-around method for online play with 3.55. That will also work. Guide for that below...
