Safe to update to 3.56?

I am on kmeaw 3.55 CFW and I could care less about backups and homebrew I just wanna play call of duty online. And with the DNS trick not working I am suffering from black ops deprivation. So what is the safest way to upgrade?

Put your console on recovery mode then use the 3.55 OFW. After your console comes back on update to 3.56. Damn, sorry to see you leave CFW.

Is it not possible to jailbreak my ps3 again if a 3.56 cfw comes out?

I'm sure it will be possible, but as of right now it is not. Give the scene time to catch up to 3.56 and all will be good.

it will not be possible as sony are quick to patch and probably permanantly locked down and blocked lvl2 syscall really any way its up to you play a game of black ops lan based if your that desperite imo its not that good of a game :P some real paintball skirmish would be alot more fun and productive

updating isnt recomended at all

If you need your fix that bad, use xlink kai for the time being. Upgrading to 3.56 might permanently stop you from cfw.

i upgraded my ps3 from kmeaw 3.55, and it didnt brick. i have a fat model.

What if SCEA tries to settle?
Lets just say, I want the settlement terms to include OtherOS on all PS3s and an apology on the PlayStation blog for ever removing it. It'd be good PR for Sony too, lord knows they could use it. I'm also willing to accept a trade, a legit path to homebrew for knowledge of how to stop new firmwares from being decrypted.

The new terms also says you can not use any hardware that is not sony ......
