    i have a Ps3 40Gb on 3.55 Kmeaw CFW.
i can not run any application such as MultiMAN on it, it just comes up with a black screen.
can't even run the LV2 pkg.
i have tried returning to Stock OFW and then back to CFW but no matter what i try i can't open any app at all.
the ps3 will not even respond to Ps3JIG to get it into service mode so i can downgrade...
can someone please help me!! i bought this ps3 off eBay for my birthday and i want to play it!
oh btw it has a faulty blu ray drive.
I DO NOT PIRATE GAMES i use my own backups from my Disks.

    Ok seriously...WTF!

Why is this your third topic on the same thing?

    First topic:
    http://psgroove.com/showthread.php?2...E-Update-error
You resolved one issue and then ended up with the current issue you have.

    Second topic:
    http://psgroove.com/showthread.php?2705-HEL-ME!!!!
You asked about this originally in the first topic and now this one? Why?? If you want help, stop flooding the boards! On both of those, you were giving things to try.
I'm neither black nor white....so don't be disappointed when you can't find me in a box of Crayola's!

Never gave me a response, never tried the method, then opened more threads. Not acceptable. Stick to your original thread, if anyone here can help you, they will help you. And try the advice people give you, then report back on it. There's no reason at all that cfw would install but ofw wouldn't. Check the update md5 hash on your usb stick and try updating through recovery mode and then factory service mode. And if your using something other than a usb flash drive, go spend $10 for one. I've seen plenty of people that have had issues with external hard drives, ipods, zunes, etc. You need a usb flash drive. Thread closed.
