Re-Marry/ Possible Brick Help, please!

Not sure if anyone can give me a hand here:

I have a
2.30 PS3 CECHG01 missing BD
GLOD PS3 CECHH01 swapping BD into PS3 above

Well, I've put the drive into the system as stated in the steps...
I'm at the Re-Marry process with Drive-Init as PASS
I've restarted the system manually after the NG Error on installing the SYSTEMSOFT
I thought that SYSTEMSOFT PASS was a necessity and loaded a 2.30 pup file onto my USB only to wait 35 minutes for on the Drive Init stage with "executing.." under it for the entire time, much to my dismay I restarted the system and have removed the .pup file and
ta-da! PASS on Drive Init Fail on Systemsoft.

Now, I'm stuck with my PS3, turning on for 10-20 seconds and turning off to solid red. Could it be FW-based or perhaps Hardware?
The system worked fine prior to the remarry on 2.30OFW in FSM.

I'm leaving the system unplugged and off to cool as I've heard that this may be heat caused but it turns off to flashing red light no solid?

Any and all help appreciated!

Do you get any video output or sound for the first 10-20 seconds? does it work when you remove the drive?
