    Hello,

    I'm currently running 3.55 CFW.

I'm being asked to "spoof to 3.55 in order to play" something.

Since I'm already running 3.55, I assume I don't need to spoof...Therefore, should it work if I FTP it over? Or will I need to edit the EBOOT file, or just leave it out?

    Thanks.

Right, no spoofing needed. No eboot editing needed. Just copy it over and play using the boot manager of your choice.

Alright thanks a lot, and I will hijack my own topic here too...

Just installed a game to my internal hard drive, and I try to run it, it says I need to update.

I'm currently using the DNS trick. Is it safe to update the game through the PSN?

    Thanks.

Yepp. Most games it will work just fine. If it stops working, simply delete the game data, re-install, and don't update. I haven't found an update yet that didn't work though. If the update won't download cause your using the dns trick, just use the ps3 game updater that's on this sites latest news section.
