Question about Waninkoko's CFW!

I saw the tutorial and it's written first i need to update to OFW 3.55, ok the file is dere i'll download it and do it, then the download link for the CFW is given but then why is there a tutorial at the end showing me how to patch the OFW to waninkoko's? why will they do that if the patched FW is already given for download? can some1 fill me in? btw i have a 80gb japanese ps3(CECHL06-->16mb). THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR HELP

it says in the service agreement that its illegal for the user to make modifications to the system software and distribute it Sooooo if he releases a patch file and not the whole then were the ones Modding the system software and we take full responsibility for our actions

Blame the people who prepatch and upload it to save people time there gona doom us one day because i also take part in the downloading

Edit: Forgot to mention, sites are at risk for posting links to prepatched versions of the ps3 firmware being illegal the sites can be shut down...not to mention the piracy talk <.< i dont want psgroove to go but its only a matter of time new rules need be made i say!

MadnessImport is right, we are patching, not the CFW maker so they are harder to pin by Sony for lawsuits.

CFW without patched? wtf...i thought CFW means it is already patched from the OFW....your telling me i need to patch the CFW also?...argh! why is everything so complex on ps3

When the CFW artist supplys us with custom firmware they give 2 links

the Original firmware to ensure semi-smart people are using the proper Firmware to patch with there Patch

And the Custom firmware patch

they cant patch the firmware themselves because they are at risk of trouble with the people who say NOT to mod the firmware (Sony)

Soo thats why they want you (The user) to patch the firmware yourself and say things like "i take no responsibility" to ensure YOU the user take responsibility for patching the firmware and using it thus risking yourself with sony

when you patch OFW it becomes CFW
